My Bio
Who I Am
I’m lucky to have had the opportunity to build a career by doing what I love. From a young age, I’ve been focused and goal driven. I decided to make it happen when I had a vision for my professional future. With experience in academic and professional settings, I’ve now worked towards my Master's Degree in Biology and become a RISE fellow at Northern Arizona University.
I grew up on the Navajo Nation, taking care of cattle and working on my family’s ranch. Now, I am working with Dr. Noami Lee as my PI on a project using Virus-Like Particles as an immunogenic platform for a pancreatic cancer vaccine.
I’m thrilled to say that I’ve learned from many trained professionals in my field, but I know I still have so much to learn from others in the industry. I’m a hard worker, and a team player, and excited to see what projects could benefit from my unique skill set. I’d love to chat with you about how we might work together.
I am pursuing a STEM field to show that a Native American Student can make it in today's society.
